Recreational hunters and anglers have made important contributions to the understanding, conservation, restoration and management of Ontario’s fish and wildlife resources. The Act recognizes that person has a right to hunt and fish in accordance with the law: Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act, 1997, the Fisheries Act (Canada), the Migratory Birds Convention Act, 1994 (Canada) and the regulations made under those Acts.
