For the purpose of its administration, the Act establishes the Heritage Advisory Council and regulates its operation (Part 2). The Act defines criteria for heritage assessment (Part 3) and provides for the identification and declaration of heritage places and objects (Part 4), their protection (Part 5), the procedure for the revocation of a declaration of heritage place or object (Part 6A), works in heritage places (Part 6B) and for heritage officers and their powers (Part 7).
