It establishes the Heritage Register and provides with respect to the registration of heritage proposals and heritage impact statements and to conservation management plans for development under the Planning Act 2002. Following the notification of a heritage proposal, the Chief Executive Officer shall refer the heritage proposal and other relevant documents received as a result of public consultation to the Norfolk Island Planning and Environment Board. A panel of heritage advisers shall be stablished as well as a heritage conservation fund. For developments under the Planning Act 2002 regarding heritage, heritage impact statements and conservation management plans shall be prepared.
