Abstract

This Regulation, issued by the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources, consists of 16 articles and gives health rules and conditions for bakeries. It provides for: a necessary municipal license; regulations for workers, such as health card, annual medical examination, uniforms, head-dresses, masks and plastic gloves for the salesman; location and details for interior decor; equipment; separation between the different areas of the restaurant; storage rules; the baking place; the sale hall. Specific measures are to be met when making pastries and sweets regarding materials liable to decay and coloring substances in conformity with the Sultanate standards.
