Abstract

This Regulation, issued by the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources, consists of 17 articles and gives health rules and conditions for beverage industries. It provides for: a necessary municipal license; location and details for interior decor; equipment, including a sewage system complying with the concerned provisions. It also gives regulations for workers, such as health card, annual medical examination, clothes suited to the nature of the work. The Regulation specifies the different divisions of the factory: (i) Bottle and raw materials store; (ii) Bottle-washing division; (iii) Mixing and beverages preparation division; (iv) Packaging division; (v) Products store; and (vi) Worker’s changing-room. For each division specifications are given to meet hygienic, safety and environmental measures.
