In particular, rules 4 to 9 set out the conditions to be fulfilled by ovines and caprines for slaughter, for fattening and for breeding. Rule 5 applies to the movement of animals. Vtereinary experts from the European Commission shall carry out on-the-sport checks in cooperation with the Veterinary Services of Malta.
