Abstract The object of these Regulations is to make regulations for section 13C of the Act giving effect to the OECD Decision, i.e. the OECD Decision C(2001)107, being Revision of Decision C(92)39/FINAL on the control of transboundary movements of wastes destined for recovery operations, made on 14 June 2001 by the Council of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, a copy of the English text of which is set out in Schedule 1. “Recovery operation” means an operation mentioned in Appendix 5.B to the OECD decision. The Regulations provide for special import, export and transit permits for specified wastes and related matters. Wastes listed in the Schedules are subject to specific control procedures as foreseen by the Chapter II of the OECD Decision.
