Abstract These Regulations prescribe fees for an application or notice as set out in the Schedule these Regulations for the purposes of section 32 of the Hazardous Waste (Regulation of Exports and Imports) Act 1989. Applications include application for a Basel import permit, application for a Basel export permit, application for a Basel transit permit, application for special permits, application for a Basel import permit authorizing hazardous waste to be sent to a facility approved as a recovery facility under regulation 7 of the Hazardous Waste (Regulation of Exports and Imports) Regulations, application for a special import permit authorizing hazardous waste to be sent to a facility approved as a recovery facility under regulation 42 of those Regulations. Notices are notices in relation to an application for a (special) export or transit permit given to a foreign country through which the waste is to be transported.
