Issues covered include restrictions on the use of waters, in particular on activities on the River Murray; harbours management; crewing for commercial vessels and fishing vessels; certificates of competency; hiring of vessels; registration of vessels, loadline certificates and structural and equipment requirements. Other provisions cover safety of navigation, the transport of dangerous substances, radio rules, recreational activities, fishing nets and their positioning and fees related to harbours and navigation.
