The Law is applicable also to retail trade in alcoholic beverages on trains, aeroplanes and ships, if these means of transport have been registered in Latvia. Activities involving food supplements containing spirits shall be regulated by the Law on Excise Duty, the Law on the Supervision of the Handling of Food and other laws and regulations determining the mandatory harmlessness and labelling requirements for food supplements and the procedures for registering food supplements.
