Abstract The present Regulations provide for the enactment of the Environmental Management and Protection Act applying to those halocarbons to which Part V of the Act refers. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to prohibitions regarding the purchase or use of halocarbons. The text – consisting of 18 sections – deal, inter alia, with the following matters: application, prescribed halocarbons, codes and provisions to be followed for prescribed equipment, prohibitions concerning sale or transfer of halocarbons, refillable pressurized containers, dismantling or discarding, certification, record keeping requirements for prescribed equipment, labelling, transportation and storage and coming into force.
