Abstract

These Guidelines provides for the scientific aspects and the presentation of information necessary to support applications for the placing on the market of novel foods and novel food ingredients and the preparation of initial assessment reports. It consists of three parts: Categories of novel food and food ingredients according to the Georgian legislation (I); Recommendation about those scientific aspects about submitting the information which are necessary for the application to place on market novel foods and food ingredients (II); and Recommendations about the scientific aspects of preparing the initial assessment which are necessary for the application to place on market novel foods and food ingredients (III).
