Abstract

These guidelines are developed with the main objective of providing practical, step-by-step guidance for all stakeholders in agriculture sector, including the MAAIF Agencies and Local governments, on how to mainstream climate change adaptation and mitigation in their planning and decision-making processes. The goal of the guidelines is to ensure that interventions developed and implemented within agricultural sector address climate change issues through activities of mitigation and adaptation. The text is designed in 3 parts referring to Introduction (1); Policy and institutional framework to support climate change management in agriculture sector (2); and Mainstreaming climate change adaptation and mitigation in agriculture sector policies and plans (3).
