Abstract This Guide, as in accordance with the Law on agriculture and rural development, is aimed at improvement of application of the code for good agricultural and hygiene practice, i.e. it enables the achievement of the principles set out in the Code of good agricultural and hygienic practice. This Guide contains provisions that are in accordance with the national primary and secondary legislation and with non-mandatory standards which are defined at the level of recommendations for good practices in agriculture according to the forthcoming European Union (EU) standards that are still are not transposed into the national legislation. The structure of the document shall take into account EU Cross-compliance Regulations and good agricultural and environmental conditions, as well as national legislation, respectively in terms of necessary principles of good agricultural and hygienic practice. The Annex contains issues regarding several domains such as soil and plant nutrition; waters ; plant protection; protection of agro-biodiversity; livestock; agricultural waste.
