Abstract

This Guidance Manual seeks to provide directions for the recycling of waste that originates from building activities. It is also about the assessment whether there are environmental or health risks associated with such waste. The Guidance Manual seeks to set standard rules for such assessment. The National Waste Plan of 2005 requires the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency to develop guidance to ensure a low environmental impact from waste recycling for construction purposes. Waste is partly defined by the Environmental Code and the Waste Framework Directive.
