Abstract

The purpose of the present Ordinance is to implement the Council Directive 80/68/EEC of 17 December 1979 dealing with the protection of groundwater against pollution caused by certain dangerous substances. In particular it deals with the prevention of pollution of groundwater by substances belonging to the families and groups of substances listed in Annexes I and II. The direct discharge of substances listed in Annex 1 is prohibited. Article 6 deals with authorization of discharge provided that all the technical precautions necessary to prevent discharge are observed. Moreover, the consequences of the pollution which has already occurred are to be checked or eliminated. The Ordinance consists of 7 articles and 2 Annexes.
