Abstract This Act sets forth provisions on the limits and baselines of the territorial waters; entitlement of a foreign ship to right of innocent passage; non-innocent passage without the prior permission of the Competent Authority; the duties and authorities of the Police Force or the persons authorized by the Minister in case of non-innocent passage; and the jurisdiction of the courts of Grenada when an offence punishable is committed or suspected in the internal waters and the territorial waters. The Minister may make regulations for (I) the safety of navigation and regulation of marine traffic; (II) conservation of the marine living resources; (III) protection of marine environment; (IV) prevention of pollution from ships; (V) fishery management; and (VI) permits and fee for foreign fishing. Finally, this Act lays down offences and penalties for the violation of any provisions of this Act or any regulations made under this Act. Full text English Website www.un.org
