Abstract

The Governor decrees to authorize the following types of hunting, except for protected areas of federal significance: (a) commercial hunting; (b) artisanal and sport hunting; (c) hunting for scientific research and educational purposes; (d) hunting for the regulation of the number of game; (e) hunting for acclimatization, repopulation and hybridization of game; and (f) hunting for the purpose of captive or semi-captive breeding or keeping wild fauna species in artificial environment. The Decree establishes authorized hunting periods, periods prohibited for hunting, and lists wild fauna species (game) authorized for hunting. The following types of hunting shall be prohibited: (a) hunting of hoofed animals by driven shooting and with the use of hunting dogs, except for finishing off injured animals, from 1 January to 28/29 February and from June 1 to 1 September; (b) use of motor vehicles, aircraft and aerial devices for pursuing and hunting of game, except for hunting for regulation of the number of wild fauna species, scientific research and educational purposes; (c) the use of any light devices; and (d) use of leghold traps for hunting of wolf, beaver, lynx, marten, badger, ermine, raccoon dog and muskrat.
