This Regional Decree enters into force ten days after the date of its official publication.
Abstract

The Governor decrees to set up the Council of Representatives of the Indigenous Peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East of the Russian Federation living in the regional territory as a permanent collegiate and advisory body constituted to ensure the protection of rights and legal interests of small indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East of the Russian Federation, living in the regional territory. The main goal of the Council is to participate in the development and implementation of a set of organizational, economic and legal measures aimed at protection of the original habitat, traditional way of life, economic activities and crafts of small indigenous peoples. The main task of the Council is to develop proposals and recommendations to the regional state authorities, local authorities, self-government of municipalities on issues of socio-economic and cultural development of small indigenous peoples.
