Abstract

The Governor decrees to authorize the following types of hunting: (a) artisanal and sport hunting; (b) hunting for scientific research and educational purposes; (c) hunting for the regulation of the number of game; (d) hunting for acclimatization, repopulation and hybridization of game; and (e) hunting for the purpose of captive or semi-captive breeding or keeping wild fauna species in artificial environment. The Decree establishes authorized hunting periods, periods prohibited for hunting, and lists wild fauna species (game) authorized for hunting. The following types of hunting shall be prohibited: (a) hunting of wild boar by drive hunting, and also use of hunting dogs, except for finishing off injured animals in the period from 1 July to 30 September; and (b) in the process of hunting, shooting with shot or canister at ungulates is prohibited, with the exception of using shot with a diameter of at least five millimeters for shooting at roe deer. Hunting of hoofed animals for research purposes, educational activities and regulation of the number of game shall be authorized during the entire calendar year.
