The scope of state landscape reserve “Okhansky (Kunchurihinsky) pine wood” shall be conservation of landscape and biological diversity, precious and typical landscapes, maintaining ecological balance, scientific research, ecological education of the population, recreational activity in forests and inexhaustible forest management. The period of the functioning of reserve shall be unlimited (open-ended). The following activities shall be prohibited: (a) transfer of forest land to unforested land; (b) all types of construction; (c) all types of felling, except for sanitary felling; (d) exploration and mining; (e) application of pesticides, mineral fertilizers, chemical plant protection means and growth stimulants, except for the purpose of forestry protection measures; (f) traffic of motor vehicles off-road, with the exception of cases related to the protection of forests and forestry and environmental work; and (g) grazing and passage of cattle. The following activities shall be authorized: (a) sanitary felling; (b) visits for educational, scientific and recreational purposes; (c) haymaking after ripening of rare plants seeds; (d) collection of mushrooms and berries; and (e) other authorized ecofriendly economic activities.
