This Decree shall not be applicable to the protected areas of federal significance. It establishes authorized hunting periods for mammals and birds, including waterfowl and moorfowl. The issuance of permits for hunting with insular and continental gun dogs, retrievers, spaniels, hounds and greyhounds is carried out upon presentation of documents confirming their registration and pedigree dog certification. The following types of hunting shall be prohibited: (a) hunting of female ungulates and bear with the offspring of the current year; and (b) use of leg-gripping traps that are not certified in accordance with the standards stipulated in the Agreement on international humane trapping standards between the European Community, Canada and the Russian Federation.
