This Governor’s Decree enters into force on the date of signature.
Abstract

The scope of creation of protection zone of nature monument of regional significance “Mount Tarki-Tau” shall be top prevent adverse effects and negative impact thereupon and ensuring conservation of wild fauna and wild flora on the aforesaid territory. Land plots shall not be subject to expropriation and shall be used by landowners and land tenants in compliance with protection regime. The following tasks are assigned to the protected zone of the nature monument: (a) reduction of the negative impact of economic activity on natural complexes adjacent to the natural monument area; and (b) protection of rare and endangered wild fauna and wild flora species, conservation of natural complexes. The following activities shall be prohibited on the territory of protection zone of nature monument: (a) destruction of soil cover; (b) exploration and mining; (c) activities entailing a decrease in water content and deterioration of hydrological and hydrochemical regime of springs; (d) timber extraction (except for timber extraction by citizens for individual personal needs), clear cutting of the forest; (e) burning of vegetation; (f) commercial, artisanal and sport hunting, collection of protected and endangered plant species; (g) construction of industrial enterprises and high health risk facilities; (h) placement of cattle burial grounds, domestic and non-domestic waste disposal, radioactive, chemical, explosive, toxic, poisonous and hazardous substances disposal; (i) pollution and littering of the territory, organization of landfill and other waste dumps, sewage and waste water discharge; (j) application of pesticides, with the exception of inhabited areas; (k) vehicle traffic outside public roads and parking off-road and outside specially equipped places, with the exception of inhabited areas; and (l) destruction and damage of warning notices and information signs, putting inscriptions and signs on trees, boulders, rock outcrops.
