Governmental Decree No.436 of 1999 regarding validation of the Regulation on composition and quality requirements for foodstuffs intended for particular nutritional uses, requirements for substances used in manufacture of such food and requirements for handling of such food, and special requirements and procedure for labelling of and presentation of information in any other manner concerning such foodstuffs.

Abstract

The Government decrees to validate the Regulation. These special requirements and procedure establish the requirements for foodstuffs which are intended for persons with nutritional needs differing from normal nutritional needs and which are therefore prepared using special manufacturing process or which has different composition from foodstuffs for normal consumption. The document consists of VI Sections. Section I lays down general provisions. Section II regards composition and quality requirements for infant formulae. Section III regards composition and quality requirements for follow-up formulae. Section IV establishes requirements for substances used in manufacture of infant formulae and follow-on formulae and requirements for handling of such formulae. Section V regards special requirements for labelling of infant formulae and follow-on formulae. Section VI regards special requirements and procedure for presentation of information in any other manner concerning infant formulae and follow-on formulae.
