Abstract Regulation on the procedure for determining index of quality and yield of soil has as its purpose to ensure the reliability of land-cadastral data, identification and display in the planning and cartographic materials of the changes in the quality composition of soil, regulation of legal relations concerning performance of index of quality and yield of soil in accordance with unified technology, ensuring comparability of the results at the national level. The scope of determining index of quality and yield of soil is a comparative assessment of its quality and natural productive capacity in points at an average level of agricultural technique for growing crops. Index of quality and yield of soil refers to the main type of accounting (inventory) of land quality, and is the basis for the subsequent cost evaluation of agricultural land, land survey, promotion of rational and effective use of land and identification of reserves for agricultural production. All agricultural lands shall be subject to determination of index of quality and yield of soil regardless of departmental affiliation and right of use thereof.
