Abstract This Governmental Decree sets forth rules for identification of livestock by means of individual identification number (tag) and registration of livesock in the Unified state identification register of livestock. The total livestock population present on the national territory shall be subject to mandatory identification and registration in accordance with the modalities set forth by this Governmental Decree. Marking of livestock shall be performed by one of the folowing means: (a) tags (cattle, sheep, goats and swine); (b) implanting a chip (horses); and (c) attribution of group identification number (sheep, goats, swine, poultry and bees).
