It shall not be applicable to management and disposal of medical waste produced by healthcare institutions. The following arrangements shall be performed in the process of safe disposal of medicines non-complying with acting standards: (a) decision-making on the necessity of disposal of perished medicines; (b) approval by the Ministry of Public Health; (c) expertise and planning; (d) formation of working groups; (e) waste segregation and classification by categories; and (f) safe waste disposal through return to sender or manufacturer, transboundary movement or dumping.
