Abstract

This Regulation determines the procedure for connection of business entities generating electricity, including from renewable energy sources, to the electric power grids of the unified electric power system and ensures non-discriminatory access of business entities to the electric grids. At the same time, the requirements of this Regulation shall apply to the following cases: (a) connection to the unified electric power system of newly commissioned capacities of the electric power producer; (b) increase in capacity of the producer's previously connected electric installations; and (c) change in the connection point of the producer's previously connected electric installations to the unified electric power system. Manufacturers, including those who have installed generating sets in private residential buildings, have the right to connect to the unified electric power system according to the procedure established by this Regulation, according to the scheme according to Appendix 1. The manufacturer's electrical installations shall be connected to the optimal point of the unified electric power system. In order to connect its electric installations to the unified electric power system, the manufacturer shall be obliged to obtain technical specifications for connection of new or additional generating capacities from the organization to which the connection to the power grids is supposed to be made.
