Abstract

This Governmental Decree establishes the procedure for interruption, suspension or termination of potable water supply. Owners of drinking water supply and sanitation systems, and organizations directly operating such systems may interrupt, limit, suspend or stop potable water supply in the following cases: (a) due to the occurrence of an accident as a result of natural disasters and emergencies, or to eliminate the consequences of such disasters in centralized and non-centralized potable water supply systems and drainage systems; (b) deterioration of potable water quality, including in the sources, including in potable water supply sources; criteria of a significant deterioration of potable water quality are set by the authorized state sanitary and epidemiological supervision body; (c) if it is necessary to increase the supply of potable water for fire extinguishment; (d) in case of discharge into the centralized sewage system of substances, materials, waste or wastewater prohibited for discharge into the centralized drainage system; (e) due to obstruction of potable water consumers to access of representatives of the organization carrying out potable water supply and obstruction by potable water consumers of access to the control sewage wells for sampling of wastewater or to measuring units of the subscriber for inspection, control, readings of the measuring devices; (f) connection (technological connection) of capital construction objects of potable water consumers; (g) in case of scheduled preventive maintenance; (h) if a subscriber has debts under water supply contract or the wastewater disposal contract and has been officially notified about it twice; (i) unauthorized connection (technological connection) of consumers to centralized potable water supply and effluent wastewater disposal systems; and (j) emergency state of water supply or sewage networks.
