This Governmental Decree enters into force on 30 May 2015.
Abstract

This Governmental Decree establishes the procedure for the manufacturing of feed, feed additives and production, transportation and storage thereof applicable to all stages of manufacturing by business entities and individual entrepreneurs. It shall not be applicable to feedstuffs produced by households and consumed in households. Control shall be performed at primary processing stage for the following purposes: (a) prevention of contamination of feedstuffs by residues of drugs, biocides, fertilizers and plant protection means; and (b) protection of animal health against infectious diseases. In order to maintain safety of feedstuffs laboratory testing shall be performed and protocols of laboratory expertise shall be recorded in registers. Succulent feeds must be free of pathogens and toxic substances. Cereal feedstuffs must be free of weeds. Feedstuff for ruminants must not contain ingredients of animal origin (except for fish) and other ingredients derived from hydroids. Poultry feedstuff must not contain ingredients derived from birds and wild fauna species. Hazardous substances (veterinary preparations, contaminants etc.) that exceed maximum allowable level cannot be used in feedstuffs. Manufacturing of fodder from tissues of animal origin shall be prohibited. Quality and safety of feedstuffs should be checked separately by production control and veterinary-sanitary expertise.
