Abstract These Rules establish the procedure for verifying the results of the implementation of climate projects. The subject of verification is the verification and confirmation of information on the reduction (prevention) of greenhouse gas emissions or the increase in the absorption of greenhouse gases as a result of the implementation of the climate project, which are contained in the report on the implementation of the climate project. The report on the implementation of the climate project is prepared in the form established by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. Verification is carried out by a legal entity or an individual entrepreneur accredited in the national accreditation system as a body for the validation and verification of greenhouse gases and is not affiliated with the climate project executor or another person with whom the climate project executor has concluded an agreement on preparation of a report on the implementation of the climate project. The basis for verification is a verification contract concluded between the verification body and the climate project contractor or another person. The term for the implementation of verification, the term for submitting the verification report to the verification customer, and the obligations of the parties are established by the agreement.
