Import of materials, subject to quarantine inspection, from foreign countries to the Republic of Tajikistan shall be authorized in the presence of: (a) import quarantine permit, issued by the central office of the authorized state institution in the field of plant quarantine, with the consideration of international survey of quarantine pests, in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan in hard copy or electronic format; and (b) phytosanitary certificate issued by the authorized state body for plant quarantine of the exporting country. Materials subject to quarantine inspection imported form foreign countries to Tajikistan are subject to quarantine phytosanitary control by inspectors of the authorized state institution in the field of plant quarantine at the points of entry into the territory of the Republic. When quarantine materials do not show signs of contamination by quarantine pests or other harmful organisms, they are allowed to be transported within the country. It is not allowed to import to the Republic of Tajikistan materials subject to quarantine inspection from foreign countries, where quarantine pests and other harmful organisms are found, including weeds, pests and insects, plant pathogens (fungi, bacteria, viruses) and nematodes.
