Abstract

This Governmental Decree establishes the procedure of operation of sanitary-quarantine points subordinated to the authorized state body in the field of ensuring sanitary and epidemiological safety of the population, establishes legal regulation of powers and responsibilities of officials, authorized state bodies in the process of the performance of state sanitary and epidemiological supervision in crossing points of the state border of the Republic of Tajikistan. State sanitary and epidemiological supervision is carried out through sanitary-quarantine points. At the crossing points at the state border, in case of the existence of circumstances that create a risk in the field of sanitary and epidemiological safety of the population, state sanitary and epidemiological supervision is carried out by responsible employees of sanitary and quarantine points of the Center for Sanitary and Epidemiological Expertise and Control on transport and border, which is organized under the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision Service. For the purpose of sanitary protection of the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan from introduction and non-proliferation of infectious (parasitic) diseases, posing a threat to the public, authorized employees, exercising state sanitary and epidemiological control in sanitary-quarantine points, within their powers, shall perform the following work: (a) measurement of body temperature of the crew, drivers of vehicles and passengers (due to epidemiological indications or complaints about health status); (b) organizing and conducting medical examinations in case of occurrence of health complaints; (c) in case of detection of suspects or persons with confirmed particularly dangerous diseases or when there is a risk to the environment before the arrival of the anti-epidemic brigade, they are placed in a special isolation room; and (d) sanitary inspection of vehicles (food points, water supply, collection and disposal of all types of waste), as well as sanitary inspection of pathogens of dangerous infectious diseases (presence of insects, ticks, arthropods and others or signs of their existence).
