Abstract This Governmental Decree establishes that the Federal Forestry Agency is an authorized federal executive body, the subordinate federal state budgetary institution of which, on the basis of an appropriate agreement, prepares documents on the basis of which the state cadastral registration of real estate is carried out in relation to forest plots from the forest fund land for the purpose of providing them for lease, permanent (termless) use, gratuitous use, unless otherwise established by the Forest Code of the Russian Federation. Ministerial Decree No. 736 validating the Regulation on Federal Forestry Agency shall be amended to add the following wording: “Federal Forestry Agency shall be responsible tor coordinated afforestation and reforestation, forest protection and data collection related to forest fires”.
