Abstract This Methodology regulates import of foodstuffs, including food additives, and establishes general criteria for risk assessment of imported foodstuffs. Lot shipped by food manufacturer, including the mass (volume) of batch and the conditions of transportation thereof shall be subject to risk assessment. The competent authority to suspend, prohibit import, trade and recall from the market falsified products and products without accompanying documentation. Falsified products and products without accompanying documentation shall be classified as high risk and low risk. The Methodology establishes the actions to be undertaken by public officials in case of detection of falsified products or products without accompanying documentation.
