Abstract

Regulation on General Rules and Standards for Organizations carrying out the Inspection and Inspection of Sea-going Ships and Mixed Vessels and for Maritime Administration activities in this field is an international standard containing minimum criteria on the basis of which organizations are assessed for acknowledgement and authorization, and guidelines on supervision by the Republic of Moldova as a flag State. The Regulation establishes the requirements for the functions, organization and control applicable to the organizations recognized by the Republic of Moldova as a flag State for the purpose of issuing on its behalf the statutory certificates and providing statutory services in accordance with the mandatory documents of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and national legislation. All requirements provided for in this Regulation shall be general and shall apply to all recognized organizations, regardless of their type and size, as well as mandatory certification and services provided. Delegation of authority applies only to vessels that have the right to navigate under the flag of the Republic of Moldova.
