Abstract This Governmental Decree establishes the modalities of surface water protection against pollution, clogging and exhaustion in the process of performance of various economic activities that could have negative impact on surface water. Surface water protection shall be considered to set up favourable conditions for water uses and ensuring ecological well-being of the population. Effluent waste water discharge shall be performed in accordance with the validated rates of maximum allowable limits of discharge of pollutants.
