It shall not be applicable to natural mineral water. Trade and vending of bottled water shall be authorized in case of availability of the following documents: (a) safety substantiation of bottled drinking water; (b) technical specifications and technological instruction; and (c) standards. Depending upon water source drinking water shall be classified as follows: (a) from the underground water source (artesian, clean springs); and (b) surface water sources (river, lake, ice). Depending upon the type of treatment drinking water shall be classified as follows: (a) purified or additionally purified (water pipe, aqueduct); and (b) enriched (with the addition of vital vitamins and micro-organisms). Bottled water must meet hygienic standards for bottling, transportation and storage for the whole period of its fitness for human consumption. Bottled water used for the preparation of infant food (artificial children feeding) must comply with high quality standard for drinking water.
