Abstract This Decree applies to freshwater stocks which are already serving or will be used in the future for drinking water distribution and for mineral and medical water uses, and to establishments supplying, treating, storing and distributing such waters to at least an average of 50 persons. These water stocks and establishments must be highly protected according to this Decree. The provisions of this Decree set out rules for the determination and marking out of protection zones. Section III rules the use of real estates interested by protection zones and prescribes necessary use restrictions.
