This Governmental Decision enters into force on the day following its official publication.
Abstract

This Governmental Decision establishes the size and composition of green areas of rural and urban settlements. Green areas of settlements shall be intended a complete system in the greenery of settlements, with recreational and amenity forests adjacent to settlements, common green areas, areas occupied by protection forest, which have protective-sanitary-hygienic significance and are recreational areas (resorts) for the population. Green plantations shall be intended a set of naturally growing or artificially planted trees, shrubs and herbs. Landscaping norm shall be intended the minimum number of green space per capita, sq. m/person. Territorial organization of green zones of settlements envisages: (a) separation of the green zone areas in forests; (b) organization of recreation areas for the population without disturbing the ecological balance of the natural complex; (c) development of forestry production; and (d) construction of irrigation system based on the peculiarities of the green area. Conservation of green areas of recreational forests includes: (a) preservation and planting of durable-decorative, tree species used for mass recreation of the population in the forest areas; (b) planting of trees with high productivity, which contribute to the recovery of the air basin of the residential areas, and which meet the requirements of timber and forest orientation; and (c) creation of a reserve for the expansion of the forest area (in relation to the population of the residential area): a. tree nursery: 3-5 sq.m. m/person; b. flower nursery - 0.5 sq.m. m/person. Forestry works should include the following types of felling: (a) in the forest area, cuttings aimed at landscaping sanitary cuttings; and (b) in the forested area - forest care cuttings, sanitary cuttings, reforestation cuttings, reforestation cuttings of low-value plantations, and in the parts intended for the expansion of the forest area - landscaping cuttings.
