Abstract

This Government Resolution resolves, in accordance with paragraph a) of article 116 of the Constitution of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, the following provisions: The Ministry of Public Works must instruct the Bee Timor Leste, E.P., with the necessary guidelines in order to increase control over water supply in Dili and the remaining administrative districts that make up the national territory. Instructions must be provided to support control, investigate and identify citizens who cause damage to the water supply system. Consultations must be carried out, namely between the Ministry of State Administration, including Municipal Authorities, the Ministry of Public Works and the Ministry of the Interior, including the National Police of Timor-Leste, in order to monitor and prevent damage to the system supplying water to the population. Measures must be taken to raise public awareness of the importance of water, its rationalization and the care and maintenance of the supply system.
