Abstract

This Government Regulation. consisting of 7 Chapters and 1 Annex, regulates aquaculture and freshwater fishing in the waters under Mozambican jurisdiction. It establishes the requirements to be met in order to obtain licences for freshwater fishing and aquaculture; licence fees for sport fishing, aquaculture and freshwater fishing. The Regulation is divided as follows: Fishing activities (Chap. I); Fish exploitation (Chap. II); Aquaculture and marketing (Chap. III); Fishing licensing for sporti fishing and associations (Chap. IV); Fishing contols (Chap. V); Sanctions for illegal activities (Chap. VI); Other provisions (Chap. VII). The Annex lists the annual licence fees and taxes.
