The Ordinance enters into force on 1 August 2003.
Abstract

The Government Ordinance, which is composed of 25 articles and seven Annexes, sets out principles governing the organization of veterinary checks of animals entering the territory of the Slovak Republic from third countries. Importers of animals from third countries must inform border inspection station through which the animals are going to be transported. Animals may leave inspection stands or quarantine only upon issue of a certificate as specified in Annex 7 and if requirements concerning veterinary checks were fulfilled.
