The Ordinance enters into force on 1 August 2003.
Abstract

The Government Ordinance, which is composed of 15 articles and seven Annexes, lays down provisions concerning the movement, slaughter and killing of animals bred and kept for the production of meat, skin, fur or other products. The aim is to ensure that no unnecesary pain or suffering is caused to animals during the activities above-mentioned.
