Abstract This Decree, made under the Vessel Traffic Service Act, provides rules relative to Vessel Traffic Operators and Supervisors. It also concerns the duty of the Vessel Traffic Authority notify the relevant Vessel Traffic Authorities of other European Community Member States located along the planned route of the vessel concerned of any relevant information it may have on the vessel if it can be shown or there is a justified reason to assume that the vessel has intentionally discharged oil into the sea or in some other way violated the provisions of the Protocol of 1978 relating to the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships, 1973, in waters under the jurisdiction of a European Community Member State.
