The Decree shall also apply to radioactive waste as referred to in section 10 of the Radiation Act (592/1991), if such waste is sited in a disposal facility for nuclear waste, as referred to in subsection 1. Provisions on the handling and storage of spent nuclear fuel and other nuclear waste in a nuclear facility attached to a nuclear power plant are laid down in the Government Decree on the Safety of Nuclear Power Plants (733/2008).
