Chapter 2 of Annex I enters into force on 1 January 2017. Abstract The present Decree implements the Act on the use of animals for scientific or educational purposes. It contains 35 sections divided into the following chapters: 1. Requirements that apply to facilities and to the care and keeping of animals; 2. Animals; 3. Personnel; 4. Veterinary care and advice; 5. Required business operation permit; 6. Record keeping and statistics of animals; 7. Supervision plan; 8. Special provisions. Annex I lays down provisions on species-specific requirements for animal keeping facilities and care of animals; Annex II on killing methods; and Annex III on the classification of experiments.
