Abstract The present Government Decree applies to the control of bovine tuberculosis in ungulates. Its provisions implement different Sections of the Act on Animal Diseases. The Decree contains detailed provisions on the decision to prevent the spread of the disease pursuant to Section 23 of the Animal Diseases Act; exemptions from such decision; measures to be taken at the animal holdings from or to which the disease may have spread; killing of infected animals; cleaning and disinfection of premises, tools and vehicles; health monitoring of non-killed animals; the conditions for lifting the restrictions; bovine tuberculosis in zoos, laboratories and other places; and bovine tuberculosis in slaughterhouses.
