Abstract The present Decree lays down provisions on the prohibitions and measures aimed at preventing the transmission of highly pathogenic avian influenza from wild birds to poultry and other captive birds, and which are binding on those in charge of captive birds. It further contains provisions on measures for the early detection of infections. The Decree contains detailed rules on the obligation to report suspected avian influenza in birds; duties of the National Food Safety Authority; requirements for the care of captive poultry and other birds, including access to drinking water and feed; prohibition to keep poultry and other birds in captivity outdoors; etc. Full text Swedish Website mmm.fi
