Fish breeding for the purpose of recreational fishfarming in waterbodies of recreational areas, as well as other waterbodies for their intended purpose, is organized only for personal consumption and recreation, as well as to satisfy aesthetic needs. Natural persons and legal entities, regardless of their form of ownership, have the right to engage in recreational fishfarming activities. Recreational fishfarming in waterbodies of recreational areas, as well as other waterbodies, is organized using fish resources bred in artificial conditions. Waterbodies or their individual sections, in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan, may be allotted to natural persons and legal entities for the purpose of recreational fishfarming in waterbodies of recreational areas, as well as other waterbodies. Fishing in waterbodies of recreational fishfarming is carried out with the consent of natural persons and legal entities organizing the activities of recreational fishfarming. Recreational fishfarming is organized by creating lakes, ponds and artificial reservoirs, as well as by cage method in natural waterbodies. Natural and artificial waterbodies that are state property can be transferred to fish farms for recreational fishfarming in waterbodies of recreational areas, as well as other waterbodies, on the basis of a temporary use agreement in accordance with the requirements of the law. In waterbodies, recreational fishfarming is not limited, with the exception of: (a) catching migratory fish species and other species in need of special protection; and (b) cases of restriction of fish catch for the purpose of their protection in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan.
